Good Morning God <br /> <br />Tis true Lard <br />I like to sleep in <br />Tis also true Lard <br />My face becomes <br />Two huge lips by morn-in <br />Especially on my well deserved <br />Sunday morn-in sleep ins <br /> <br />But, as 'God' would have it <br />I was to be woken up, again <br />This fine Sunday morn-in <br />By a messenger from 'God' <br /> <br />She was a fine looking messenger, indeed <br />And she had a little messenger boy with her <br />Although <br />He was a quiet little messenger <br />And he had a really great messengers suit on <br /> <br />Now usually Lard <br />I'm all ears <br />When it comes to <br />A message from 'God' <br />But this morn-in <br />I was all lips <br />And it was only after <br />Oh, about one minute <br />Did I decide <br />To suck-in my lips <br />And let out <br />A return message <br />To 'God' <br />After all <br />They were His messengers <br /> <br />And my morn-in lips spoke <br />And said <br />'Do you know what day this is? <br />This is the day of rest <br />So I would appreciate it <br />If you would tell 'God' <br />To stick to His script <br />And let me have <br />My day of rest <br />Which He hath so provided' <br /> <br />Slam!<br /><br />Roland Hardy<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-message-to-god/
