Everybody wants to grow up in the Sixties, <br /> even those whose date of birth is solid in the Nineties. <br /> That Twenty - Twenty hindsight, <br /> is very, very, blurred. <br /> <br /> Those of us that did, can still remember things that <br /> nostalgia left behind. <br /> The songs were great to us, <br /> the turmoil really wasn't. <br /> <br /> Viet - Nam makes Iraq look like a walk in the park, <br /> 58,000 is the number that you need to know! <br /> I don't know the other one - - - but as a rule - - - <br /> the wounded, both phisically and psycologically <br /> should make you leave your lunch out on the sidewalk! <br /> <br /> PLEASE - - - Don't misunderstand what I am saying! <br /> <br /> When our country called, after 9 /11... <br /> our brave men and women did not hesitate! <br /> They tell me that we have now been in Iraq longer <br /> than we were in WW II! <br /> I will say that again GEORGE... <br /> YOUR sons and daughters have now been in Iraq <br /> longer than many of our fathers were in World War Two! <br /> The death toll, so far, is closing in on 3,000! <br /> (Do you remember that other number?) <br /> <br /> I suppose that Kent state is something that you missed <br /> in history class. Martin Luther King means that you don't <br /> have to go to school on that Monday! J.F.K. is an <br /> airport in New York City! The 'Cold War ' means that it <br /> snowed a lot - - - I guess, <br /> <br /> YES, the tunes were great!
