fragrances bring back memories, <br />certain smells can bring back a smile. <br />aromas make your noses twitch, <br />walk in anticpation...the extra mile <br /> <br /> <br />smells of home made cooking, <br />be it plain white rice or some baking <br />brings backs memories of a mothers love <br />wholesome, appetising, and no faking <br /> <br />and then there are those other fragrances, <br />with a special meaning to each woman <br />the manly clean smell of my man, <br />the feeling safe, with such a good human. <br /> <br /> <br />the smell of lemon peels is heady <br />makes me feel so fresh and clean <br />so many different perfumes heady and sensuous <br />make an ordinary woman, feel like a queen <br /> <br />the clean sweet smell pf pine trees <br />mixed with the heady smell of roses <br />the smell of the grass beneath my feet <br />does really stimulate our noses <br /> <br />the intoxicating smell of a baby <br /> baby talcum mixed with warm milk <br />no scent like the the scent of a baby <br />no softness, like the skin soft as silk <br /> <br />the scent of my beloved when he is away, <br />I just have to burrow my nose in his coat <br />memories sensile and tactile, <br />come flooding through, and bring a lump to my throat <br /> <br />the smell of the newly washed earth <br />as it succumbs to a washing by the rain, <br />is enough to lift you sky high... <br />exhilarate you, and wash away your pain. <br /> <br />and when your are troubled and pensive, <br />light an incense and meditate on the Lord, <br />experience thegentle uplifting of your spirit <br />feel thepeace, feel him strike the spiritual chord <br /> <br />fragrances are so very special, <br /> each with its own meaning and content, <br />what would a world be without fragrance <br />what would our world be without that familiar scent?<br /><br />Arti Chopra<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/fragrances-that-sway-the-senses/
