Temperatures are dropping, <br />This cold it isn't stopping. <br />Chilly winds won't ease, <br />It now begins to freeze. <br />And winter's settling in, <br />Goose pimples on the skin. <br />With some unwanted sneezes, <br />Followed by chesty wheezes. <br /> <br />Rain that turns to ice, <br />You can slip up in a trice, <br />Of this danger, do be aware, <br />Or it's down on your derriere. <br /> <br />Snowflakes upon the ground, <br />So feet don't make a sound. <br />Sledge comes from the shed, <br />Then it's full speed ahead. <br />Frozen nose and toes, <br />Feeling like Eskimos. <br />Raw, the outside air, <br />Frosty, everywhere. <br />Shivering in sub-zero climes, <br />And hoping for warmer times.<br /><br />Ernestine Northover<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/sub-zero-climes/
