What Really Matters... <br /> <br />I've made up my mind <br /> To close my eyes, listen and see what I can find <br />I refuse to not to pout <br /> I have the sudden urge to stand out <br />The feeling inside me builds even stronger <br /> I choose to no longer <br />Be afraid to fly like a dove <br /> Raising my wings out to those above <br />Showering them with love <br /> From the heavens above. <br /> <br />I show that I unconditionally care <br /> Even when things around me seem off, I do not stare; <br />When things get unfamiliar, I trust and take a dare <br /> Showing others not to be afraid of God's infinite glare <br />The battles are always there; <br /> We're always going to find ourselves in some fog <br />Just believe and trust in God <br /> For when the trumpet sounds we all can join and shout <br />Those feelings of being lonely and evermore sadder <br /> Won't exist because we stood out for God <br />And that's all that ever really matters!<br /><br />Kristin Nicole RothDavis<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/what-really-matters-2/
