So Fred Babbin is growing old, <br />Not much of a story here to be told <br />But just recognition that someday soon <br />We all must dance to our Maker's tune. <br /> <br />Yet when you have not much time to kill <br />Then it's best that you make the best of what you will <br />And write poems that have a meaning to you alone <br />For others may mistake the elements of the poem. <br /> <br />Your poem of how God came to be <br />Is one of my favorite bits of poetry. <br />For you surmise (and rightly so) <br />That trying to make better is what makes us go. <br /> <br />So keep the spirit alive and sound, <br />And forget the feelings of aging bones that abound <br />For this year and many more to come <br />Will bless you in God's Kingdom. <br /> <br />s<br /><br />Sidi J.
