they say there here to help <br />that I can trust them <br />but I know they are lying <br />I’ve heard it all before <br />these lies <br />they ask you to tell them how you feel <br />but you know you can’t <br />because you know what they’ll do <br />you’ve seen it all before <br />do they think I’m that stupid <br />I f I tell them the truth <br />they listen <br />they call FACS <br />then its off to the hospital <br />put me in a foster home <br />or maybe suicide watch <br />I’ve seen ti happen to others <br />so they ask you again <br />“How do you feel? Tell me about yourself” <br />Ha! I think <br />That sends my brain into overdrive <br />making up a story <br />saying I’m fine <br />say a little truth <br />and a lot of lies <br />makes for a good alibi <br />then they ask <br />“describe your self in 3 words” <br />I think “ suicidal, alone, unnoticed” <br />I say “smart, busy, responsible” <br />“Now explain to me why you said that” <br />I blabber on adding to my alibi <br />they just nod <br />just as they go to ask another question <br />I say, “well I really need to go were starting a new unit in my class and I don’t want to fall behind” <br />they say “OK, see you next week” <br />I think to my self If I don’t die first! <br />I say “OK” <br />and I walk away<br /><br />Scarlet .....<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/do-they-really-think-we-re-that-stupid/
