The sky was a dark orange <br />the streets a crimsom red <br />the people a feeling dust covered mass <br />9/11 not a day that will live in infamy <br />but a day that will forever be etched in the new worlds sad reality <br /> <br />When the dust cleared and the survivors marched from premature night <br />I knew that the bastereds who did this had not won <br />that America the beautiful had survived <br /> <br />Flags were raised <br />candles lit <br />and help from all over this great land came to rebuild a nation <br /> <br />9/11 we can never bring back all those who were lost that day <br />but we sure can honor there memory <br />by forging ahead <br />and raising a new tower <br />a tower that when built will tell the world <br />you may take our lives <br />but you will never take our freedom <br /> <br />god bless America and all who live here<br /><br />vincent armone<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/9-11-8/
