No! , No! , No! i don't wanna do it!
Is what he said to dead air...
'Oh brother! ' was said in reply by a nurse without much care.

'Please roll up your sleeve, dear'the nurse verbally utters...
'Will it hurt? ' is the question asked in a low hushed tone as he mutters.

'Not much, it'll be like being bitten by a mosquito or a baby's little pinch'...
'Before it's over' she exclaims 'it's painless and an easy good cinch'.

Out pops the nurse's hypodermic needle with a tip real pointy as sharp...
Next-is heard a real high pitched scream that sounds loudest and higher than an angelic high noted harp.

With eyes squinted tighter than the tightest of slit...
It's all and done and now you can thankfully relax from your cowardly fit.

No disease will hurt-You not please...
I can only say 'that your friends and classmates won't want to stop
calling you names with an unbearable tease.

The little boy still had tears of fear running down his cheeks...
With a smile now slowly creeping up on his face,
He says 'i feel much better and did not intend to be imaged as in frightening disgrace.'

These are his last words heard as he leaves happily he says 'good day and good-bye' as he lastly doth speaks...
No more needles and no more pain, and most of all-no more wet tear dripping cheeks.

Michael Gale

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-fear-of-needles-in-the-nurs-es-office-in-grade-school/
