Woke up this morning <br />No muse comes to mind <br />The mind has no music <br />My eyes have gone blind <br />She left in the night <br />No note can I find <br />My muse has deserted <br />My old riddled mind. <br /> <br />No discussions we had <br />No disputes I can see <br />She just up’d and left <br />In the night, so did she <br />But then I remember <br />She never did say <br />How long she would muse me <br />How long she would stay <br /> <br />So how do I write <br />The poems in me <br />With no muse in sight <br />It’s not easy to see <br />So I think I’ll write just <br />A poem or two <br />To see what will happen <br />If my muse will be true.<br /><br />David Taylor<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/any-one-seen-my-muse/
