I am not the same as the rest, <br />I am not always accepted or liked, <br />People look at me as though <br />I were not human, <br />I am forgotten, and tossed aside <br />I feel empty, and lost <br />Love seems only an illusion, <br />Happiness, only a distraction from pain <br />Dreams seem as hopeless as catching the wind, <br />From this I am forced into this shadowy form, <br />Where I am worthless, <br />My existence, miserable, <br />Pain, the only feeling that satisfies my hunger, <br />As I feel blood pour from my veins, <br />The pain of memories, pour from my body <br />Like the magma from a volcano, <br />The burning of my memories are released, <br />Then I sob in tears, sitting in the corner, <br />As I beg for pity <br />I realize that, nobody cares <br />And so, all alone, I die, <br />quietly…<br /><br />Wandering Scarlet<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-shoes-of-the-forgotten/
