Ever been to one of those <br />water fountain shows? <br />You know with music and lights <br />and water spouts, at night. <br />Shifting towers of water shoots <br />with coloured lights <br />and music themed. <br />Left, right <br />Low, high <br />Pulsing, showering, <br />swirling, churning, <br />light shades shifting, <br />colours turning. <br />Excited child like faces <br />beaming with all the <br />wondrous feelings. <br />Gentle now with pastel shades <br />and trickling fountains, <br />soft spays are made. <br />And drums beating, <br />gushing higher brighter reds, . <br />with huge cascades <br />high above our heads. <br />Now a ballet dancing, <br />to a Mozart minuet, <br />this one that one <br />which one next? <br />Dancing in a spiral movement, <br />graceful do the waters flow. <br />Now a sense of anticipation <br />waters gentle, lights go low: <br />Wow the lights and music blow! <br />Every spout with water gushes <br />with loud crescendos; <br />end of show! <br />We go home with uplifted feelings, <br />having seen the waters dancing <br />and had our senses reeling: <br />Life is such a magic screening, <br />and a wondrous seeming. <br />As the waters, lights and music <br />come, perform and surely go. <br />We continue silent witness, <br />to this universe; and what a show!<br /><br />David Taylor<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/universal-show/
