Could you be this mother who <br />Loved the alphabet so much <br />When she was in school that <br />Decided to name her children after it? <br /> <br />She named her first child A. <br />The second was christened B. <br />Along came a set of twins <br />Whom were named as L and L. <br /> <br />Whenever the children wanted fun <br />They had no trouble whatsoever. <br />They simply meshed together <br />And played BALL with one another. <br /> <br />And then there was this friend <br />Who also loved the alphabet <br />And thought it so happily <br />To name her kids E, T, and C. <br /> <br />When A invited E <br />And B came home with T, <br />What fun they had together <br />Twirling BALLET with each other. <br /> <br />Soon there were so many moms <br />Naming their kids like the others <br />And the better the kids could spell <br />The more games were theirs to muster. <br /> <br />This one mom found working <br />with numbers so fine <br />She named her children <br />Beginning with one and ending with nine. <br /> <br />It was no trouble for the BALLs <br />To pick a B, an A, a S and an E <br />With number 9 and make a team <br />Then play a game of BASEBALL. <br /> <br />Sometimes all the kids <br />Met in a scramble <br />Threw a party <br />And played fun games of scrabble. <br /> <br />Games they all could play together <br />Including the numbers adding scores <br />Spelling words they never knew <br />Having more fun than ever before. <br /> <br />To live and grow and become friends <br />Does not depend upon one’s name. <br />What really matters in the end <br />Is the person with the name. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /><br />Ben Gieske<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/alphabet-names/
