I remember............. <br />That starry night we dreamed together on the beach <br />Gazing at the moonlight playing on the gently lapping waves <br />The night was chilly, crisp and clear <br />In the distance the sound of a night bird called <br />As the breeze stirred whispers through the pinetops; <br /> <br />Smoke from the nearby campfire drifted high overhead <br />Glittering flakes of burning ashes sparked against the night sky <br />You reached out and embraced me - held me close <br />To your chest and kissed my forehead <br />Then whispered in my ear some endearment I've forgotten <br />The night was filled with magic; <br /> <br />Seems like a lifetime ago <br />That enchanted encounter that sealed us <br />From that moment on for the rest of our lives <br />Although we may be far apart in distance <br />Still our hearts beat passionately in unison <br />And will continue to do so forever, I suppose.<br /><br />Linda Ori<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/starry-night-9/
