Someday when the world isn’t so cold <br />And smiles smother her tempered heart <br />She’ll open her eyes to a new life <br />Vacating the existence of suffering <br /> <br />Leaving her world of hand me downs <br /> <br />She runs from shattered love <br />Expecting the collapse to destroy her <br />Second guessing what could have been <br />And not believing in second chances <br /> <br />Because her love is a hand me down <br /> <br />Soon enough she will see <br />The bold writing on the walls <br />Screaming there is more to life <br />If she would only open her eyes <br /> <br />To a life without hand me downs <br /> <br />But for now she will blindly walk <br />Wearing clothes saturated with pain <br />Skeptical of the love she deserves <br />Because her life is no more than a hand me down<br /><br />C.R.
