A Look Back To Now... <br /> <br /> <br />Basking in the New <br />Spring Sun <br />Knitting needles <br />Construct the weave <br />Drinking Cristal <br />Toast's de-jour <br />As this day prepares <br />It's leave <br />I lay my weary head <br />Down <br />And breathe in the <br />Elixir's of Spring <br />Enchantment decree's <br />In effervescent degree's <br />What a nature filled <br />Ambience it brings <br />For i have lived a life- <br />Time of Springs <br />And followed many a <br />Setting Sun <br />For in the Spring of <br />My life time <br />My journey had only <br />Just begun..........................(Yesterday) <br />Passing oh so swiftly <br />On through <br />To the heated swelter <br />Of Summer Sun <br />But youth held me tight <br />In her arms <br />Many days to scamper <br />And run..............................(Yesterday) <br />But soon the heated <br />Days they passed <br />And pushed through <br />To the purple veil of Fall <br />Where the leaves turn <br />Gold brittle dry and die <br />Tree's bare branched all.....(barely yesterday) <br />Chilling temperatures <br />Tingle my spine <br />As the first frost sends <br />Ice mists this way <br />A first hint of the winter <br />Of my life <br />With icicles numbering <br />My days <br />As i sit quietly here in <br />My chair <br />Knitting needles <br />Produce what is left <br />A white hair or two <br />Like tender snow mist <br />Stiff in pain and feeling <br />Quite bereft............................(My Today) <br /> <br /> <br />Dedicated to: Growing Old Gracefully?)<br /><br />Theodora (Theo) Onken<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/growing-old-12/
