I love life but does life love me when I have to cook <br />tea for a family of three. <br />One wants this and one wants that and between <br />those wants I have to feed the cat. <br />Then the cat up's her nose and walks away <br />Why should I worry it's only a stray <br />A black and white moggy that the kids brought home <br />they felt sorry for it because it was all alone. <br />Now I am the owner of this fussy old cat <br />that's made its bed in my best Sunday hat. <br />I love life but does life love me, when I go <br />out shopping and the kids think its a spending spree. <br />One wants this and one wants that and between <br />those wants there's no time for a chat. <br />I meet a friend I have not seen seen for ages <br />when we talk about the past the kids go into rages <br />Come on Mum its time to go home, if Dads tea is not <br />ready he will have a moan. <br />I love life but does life love me when I come home <br />from shopping and have to start the tea. <br />No time for a cuppa just rushed of my feet and the <br />kids go off with their skateboards into the street. <br />Two shouting loud the youngest crying, can't see whats <br />a matter the eggs are frying. <br />I love life but does life love me when I'me up the hospital <br />and having scrapped the tea; a bump on the head and two <br />bloody noses, I wish someone would send me a Bunch of <br />Roses.<br /><br />sylvia spencer<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-bunch-of-roses-2/
