At night I lay awake <br />And tears fall as I cry <br />The hurt and pain my heart can't take <br />Because all your selfish lies <br />Why is the hurting going so deep? <br />I sit up at night cause I can't fall asleep <br />All these thoughts in my head are clear <br />Being in love again is all I fear <br />I don't know if I can take the pain <br />Cause maybe the next lover will do me the same <br />Hurting me and not giving a care <br />That my heart can no long bare <br />So fear is what may hold me back <br />Being able to trust someone is all I lack <br />So will I sit up at night and cry anymore <br />From all the pain and aching <br />My hearts so sore <br />Will I find the one to take away the pain <br />This pain I want no longer <br />It hurts so much I can't explain <br />Tears run down my cheek as i remember you <br />And what we had I though was so true <br />But all you caused was pain <br />So the only way for people not to know I cry <br />Is to walk in the rain<br /><br />Natasha Williams<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/as-i-walk-in-the-rain/
