There's a girl I know <br />that brings a smile to my heart <br />reflecting a life that is <br />a beautiful work of art <br />Her captivating smile <br />brightens my day <br />making my inner-pain <br />flutter far away <br />The feeling that she leaves <br />makes my heart believe <br />that her love <br />need not be achieved <br />Yet, its given with <br />an act of simplicity <br />with no attachments <br />or wanted publicity <br />The friendship <br />that she does bestow <br />makes me comfortable <br />like I'm now her bro <br />If she only knew <br />the impact she gives <br />on each and every life <br />that will forever live <br />She transforms <br />each broken heart <br />making it feel special <br />like its set apart <br />The mere smile <br />of this unique girl <br />can brighten <br />even the darkest of worlds <br />When she walks into a room <br />spirits begin to lift <br />setting each and every <br />mind adrift <br />She makes people feel inclined <br />to do something greater <br />pushing them to strive for it now <br />instead of later <br />The feeling she does spread <br />lifts every head <br />and each pain and worry <br />are now dead <br />But left in its place <br />is a new set pace <br />to push onwards <br />and finish the race <br />Little does this girl know <br />what she has done <br />and the pride that she gives <br />God's only Begotten Son <br />For she is <br />and will always be <br />something much greater <br />then she will ever see<br /><br />Trevor Schulte<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-promising-girl/
