we both search for a place to rest our head <br />truly rest our head <br />a place where we can trust those around us <br />a place where we feel safe <br />a place that will put us at ease <br />I know we are not alone in this search <br />I wonder will we ever find that place <br />for does it even exist? <br />people may ask <br />“do you not rest you r head ever night when you sleep” <br />I lay my head at night <br />I do not rest it <br />therefore I do not sleep <br />I only sink into a dark obis of pain <br />from the past <br />and from the future <br />for my mind will never be idle unless it is at rest <br />it can not do that until I find that place <br />the one we both search for <br />a place to rest our head <br />those people who have found this place <br />truly take it for granted <br />for I have lived most of my life searching for this place <br />therefore I haven't truly slept <br />truly rest since I was but a child <br />a child with an idle mind <br />for most when you grow up your mind worries <br />your mind is no longer idle <br />there are a lucky few who stay <br />stay idle <br />oh how lucky they are <br />those who have found it don't understand the pain we go threw trying to find it <br />searching for it <br />for the have never been to that dark and painful obis <br />the one we are trapped in every night <br />well their minds go idle <br />and fill with dreams <br />for a dream I have never dreamt <br />only nightmares in the obis <br />and none of fiction <br />all are true<br /><br />Scarlet .....<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-place-to-rest-your-head/
