(This poem was inspired by Ronald Stroman's 'Fools Write Poems Too.') <br /> <br />Why do fools write poems? ... <br />Because the biggest fool doesn't ever read them. <br /> <br />It takes courage to write your thoughts down on paper or screen... <br />It takes bigger of the biggest fools to tease them poets and say things that are mean. <br /> <br />Courage to chance seeming foolish to others who are out there... <br />Even more foolish to not know about or care about anyone or anywhere. <br /> <br />Courage of the brain and heart... <br />May consume those who care for their art. <br /> <br />Courage is basically my part... <br />Genius i'm not but yes i might even be smart. <br /> <br /> A great poem inspires others to write by right.<br /><br />Michael Gale<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/why-do-fools-write-poems/
