In the dark <br />kiss after kiss <br /> <br />flutters between <br />my shoulder blades <br /> <br />like a floatilla <br />of migrating butterflies <br /> <br />making their way south <br />over tense backlands <br /> <br />before cresting the curve <br />of each buttock <br /> <br />deftly disappearing <br />down my inside leg <br /> <br />as if measuring me <br />for an invisible suit <br /> <br />made entirely <br />of kisses. <br /> <br />Each kiss a master <br />tailor butterfly. <br /> <br />The swish of your hair <br />sewing the seams <br />together. <br /> <br />Your mouth <br />rivetting my nipples. <br /> <br />By the time your tongue <br />has fitted the zip into place <br /> <br />I am esctatic <br />delighted with my suit of kisses. <br /> <br />I wear it all next day <br />refusing to remove it <br />with a shower. <br /> <br />You <br />(like a child) <br />pointing out <br /> <br />that I have <br />no clothes on <br /> <br />me like an emperor <br />dressed to my satisfaction <br /> <br />(listening only to my heart) <br /> <br />in my perfect <br />suit of kisses.<br /><br />Dónall Dempsey<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/suit-of-kisses/
