Grandma’s home was special <br />My second home you see <br />I enjoyed my brother’s horse too <br />Who loved to visit with me <br /> <br />I had lunch with Grandma every day <br />During school in the early days <br />She made the most delicious lunch <br />In her kitchen without delay <br /> <br />So many memories I recall <br />Such loving thoughts of her <br />I remember too the smokehouse <br />Where hams were left to cure <br /> <br />The cellar where she stored vegetables <br />Through winter for a delicious meal <br />Oh yes, I loved the food <br />That had that Grandma’ seal <br /> <br />I loved my loving Grandma <br />So beautiful when she was young <br />And every wrinkle so special <br />As an older lady she had become <br /> <br />Yes, many special memories <br />That I’ll have forever, you see <br />I smile as I turn back the clocks <br />For Grandma meant so much to me!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/grandma-s-home/
