(Inspired by William Blake's 'A Poison Tree') <br /> <br />Let's hang all day at the tree of knowledge <br />Nurture it as we learned in college <br />protected from all hate and wars <br />by heroes we tag corporate whores <br /> <br />who got angry with an ally <br />loath to share our war dead tally <br />all anger oozing from our foe <br />the world projects on GI Joe. <br /> <br />Though happy when the US tool <br />preserved the market for their fuel <br />But sweat and toil as cost of freedom <br />proved tedious, 'please pass the condom. <br /> <br />'How fruitless such dread toil and sweat, <br />mere Cowboy tales, this terror threat; <br />al Qaeda's not our enemy <br />it's you, driving that SUV.' <br /> <br />And so our allies party on <br />trash the Cowboy in show and song <br />screw GI Joe and Uncle Sam <br />whose arrogance concocts this scam. <br /> <br />''Tis global gas threatens our way <br />of life, for carbon credits pay! <br />The end is near, unless we act! ' <br />The Programmer supports this fact. <br /> <br />'This foe you've labeled, longs for peace. <br />All aid to Israel must cease!
