What? Action in inaction? <br />This seems to be a fiction! <br />Not that it’s unknown, <br />It’s a fact well known. <br /> <br />Hollow drum when beaten, <br />Its noise don’t you listen? <br />Fill up water upto its brim. <br />Will it not then be calm? <br /> <br />Sea waves near the shore <br />How much they all roar? <br />If you go to the deep sea, <br />Silence only you can see. <br /> <br />See the earth’s might. <br />In one full day and night, <br />It rotates fast with no sound, <br />And completes one round. <br /> <br />Close your eyes and meditate. <br />Others may even look at it, <br />As you’re in total inaction, <br />But really you’re in action. <br /> <br />Your mind is not bound, <br />And it travels all around. <br />Your body is in action <br />In its internal function. <br /> <br />Likewise, God is in action, <br />In His seemingly inaction. <br />In silence only He ever remains <br />Amidst His universal vibrations.<br /><br />Rajaram Ramachandran<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/action-in-inaction/
