I met with an old friend, <br />I had not seen him for many months, <br />So we went for a few drinks <br />And a catch-up, <br />And he introduced me to his friend, <br />And that was how I meet Jack Daniels. <br /> <br />I knew he had a reputation, <br />I had known of him for many years, <br />And it always seemed the thing, <br />For a budding playwright <br />To seen around with. <br />I even heard that Janis Joplin was a fan. <br /> <br />And so I spent the evening with my friend <br />And with Mrs. Daniels’ son, Jack. <br />He seemed alright, <br />I quite liked him, <br />And as the night went on, <br />I forgot the bitterness of him, <br />And just drank on <br /> <br />©Charlie F.
