I search for a drop, to quench my thirst, <br />An ocean, I find, bringing joy into heart. <br />Like a child, before waves, wide eyed I stand, <br />Euphoric, enthralled, yet pangs of fear hidden within. <br />Standing in midst of sand castles, my dreams, <br />I fear to step ahead, into the water, cool. <br />The world, shackles of iron, holds me back, <br />Mind boggled, “TO BE OR NOT TO BE.! ” <br />To swim against tide, to move against wind, <br />To listen to my heart…I fear, the WORLD ‘i’ fear. <br />Thus I stand, before the ocean, my love, knowing not- <br />What to do, to move ahead or to turn back… <br />Then, I take a step, a step behind, my eyes blurred with tears, <br />The ocean, now a mirage, and me, just a part of the crowd.<br /><br />Sreeja Sreedharan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/ocean-of-love-4/
