I realize the discontented part of me <br />Is something I have to settle into <br />To interact within a world <br />Using every part of me <br />Even fragments I don't like <br />As I hold my breath <br />Hoping I'd break through the surface <br />Into a clear morning <br />By trying to ignore me <br />I miss out on being me <br />I forget I am a part of this planet Earth <br />And lose out on my worth <br />I am a tree of life <br />Formed as millions of cells <br />Breathing sleeping and with a beating heart <br />Made of flesh and bone <br />Without essence I spread my wings <br />Only to face another lying day <br />Crippled and crushed <br />And knowing....
