Time has come they arise from the depths <br />The two legged beings are done <br />They have wasted what was given them <br />Its time we showed them how. <br /> <br />We have quietly watched as they tried <br />To make something of the land <br />But greed and complacency have taken the upper hand. <br />They seek only what will please them now. <br /> <br />We will not forsake them as they drown <br />In their own mistakes. <br />But the choices that now we must make <br />Can only come through replacement. <br /> <br />We gave them time to recognize <br />All the mistakes they made. <br />But still they waste the precious earth <br />And seek only to decimate. <br /> <br />There are a few we will leave alone <br />Those who quietly contemplate <br />Who use the earth for what it is <br />And not try to change it. <br /> <br />But for those who cant even <br />Live with each other <br />Who draw their weapons <br />And destroy their neighbor <br />They we will replace…. <br /> <br />For time has come <br />To heal this land <br />To make it whole again <br />Time has come to make amends.<br /><br />Alison Smith<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/time-has-come-2/
