your waiting at the bus stop <br />for your bus <br />and there you see <br />a child sitting at the bus station <br />begging for change <br />a look upon her face <br />broken and lost <br />abused and in pain <br />she is a run away <br />you wonder as you see her tears fall <br />what is she running from <br />who is she running from <br />how could they have done so much damage <br />to such a pure soul <br />they have left her in pieces <br />without a care <br />they were unconcerned with her pain <br />they did not see the damage <br />they did to her young soul <br />she wants to go home <br />but she knows no home <br />but the streets she wonders <br />she turns and sees you <br />she gazes to your eyes <br />and within that second <br />you see the world of her pain <br />all of her past <br />all of the pain she has felt <br />you catch but a glimpse of it within her gaze <br />you start to shake under such thoughts <br />of having to endore <br />unimagenible pain <br />your bus pulls up <br />you struggle to find the correct change <br />and board the bus <br />off to home you go <br />to enjoy a nice dinner with your family <br />just like that <br />the girl is forgotten<br /><br />Scarlet .....<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/easily-forgotten/
