I came to say a goodbye <br />to an old friend, <br />I have seen occasionally <br />through the years. <br />I know that she is still here, <br />and will be even after <br />the building has been pulled down. <br />I have felt her presence <br />around all the time, <br />even had the pleasure <br />of seeing her once or twice. <br />However, today is the day of reckoning, <br />and soon I will be moving on. <br />Therefore, I have come to say a goodbye <br />to that ghostly friend of mine. <br /> <br />9 July 2007<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-goodbye-2/
