The Leaf <br /> <br /> <br />A simple leaf I hold in my hand <br />and yet glorious wonders it does command <br />You started as a little seed <br />But now you breath life into this tree <br />Without you the tree withers and dies <br />The world would have to say good-bye <br />But even you do not endure <br />For your time here is minuscule <br />The tree lives on for many seasons <br />Your short life has it's reasons <br />And when the time comes for you to leave <br />You go in blazing colors cleaved <br />And if perchance a warm breeze is there <br />You'll leave this world with a little flare <br />You'll catch that heat wave in the sky <br />And ride to heavenly heights so high <br />Then in your final hours of rest <br />You'll land upon natures breat <br />And nourish the ground to continue on <br />The cycle of a new season's dawn <br /> <br /> <br />27 July 2007<br /><br />JoJo Bean<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-leaf-3/
