I just love a thunderstorm, <br /> especially at night, <br /> the wind, the rain, the smell, <br /> but most of all the lightning! <br /> <br /> I love to sit out on the porch, <br /> wind messing up my hair, <br /> and watch the sky light up, <br /> as the bolts pierce stagnate air. <br /> <br /> I like to count the seconds, <br /> and to be startled by the thunder, <br /> that I knew would soon be coming, <br /> but still, a sense of wonder. <br /> <br /> The pets don't like the thunderstorms, <br /> they cower, crouch and hide, <br /> yes, it has been pointed out to me, <br /> that they have more sense than I. <br /> <br /> <br /> (NOTE: I cannot be held responsible for what <br /> you thought that this would be!)<br /><br />Barry Van Allen<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/big-boom-booms/
