A shrinking sentiment prompts lament. <br />Conversations drift, <br />To lift even listless leaves... <br />From these hot air breezes. <br />And witnessed by ignored life giving trees! <br /> <br />Many are joining in... <br />To add worthless comments. <br />Attracted by an abundant vacancy, <br />Of opinions lost... <br />Or foolishly tossed to cross, <br />With a few not meant to be given. <br />Perhaps a better use, <br />For them would be as moss! <br /> <br />And a substance shared, <br />Between those thick with thought... <br />Sit too high and declared, <br />They are too aloof! <br />Too prudesh and lofty. <br />Too self contained on an ego boost! ! <br /> <br />Rare these days and scattered about, <br />Are minds fresh and ready to ignite... <br />And down to Earth with spark! <br />But a languidness speeds, <br />The impeding of a mental drought! <br />Viewed by drooping heads... <br />Parched lips and shut mouths!<br /><br />Lawrence S.
