I’m so thrilled about my day <br />And I’d like to share it with you <br />It’s Sunday once again <br />I have a date with God, it’s true <br /> <br />I could go to church this morning <br />After breakfast with family <br />And after my visit with God <br />I’ll have the day just for me <br /> <br />Of course it does not have to be <br />In church to visit with God <br />I can talk to him anywhere I wish <br />Out in the yard in His precious sod <br /> <br />It doesn’t have to be Sunday either <br />It could be when I’m doing my chores <br />Wherever I find convenient <br />We can talk behind closed doors <br /> <br />Or out in the bright sunshine <br />Hey, it’s all just up to you <br />If you have something to say to Him <br />You can have a date with God too!<br /><br />Marilyn Lott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-date-with-god-2/
