Money, the one thing that make every single one of us, different. <br />The thing that pulls every last one of us, apart. <br />That’s the only thing I needed. <br />Just some money that’s all. <br />My friends would be happy. <br />My mum would smile <br />My dad might not get up and leave <br />But we didn’t have that money. <br />I didn’t have that money. <br />The money we had seemed to drift away, <br />Into forgotten dreams, <br />That I longed to meet again. <br />I didn’t want it for me, <br />But for my family, <br />Who needed it most, <br />To keep us all together <br />But that money pulled us apart. <br />It ripped my family, home and life to pieces. <br />There is nothing left, <br />Just the lies and the hate. <br />I can’t take it anymore, <br />We're suppose to be a family, <br />Not at war. <br />But once again money won, <br />And played us like a fool.<br /><br />Frankie Stones<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/money-27/
