Give me a reason, for not sleeping <br />In this contest of life I’m awake but dreaming <br />There must be something, something I’m missing <br />Full of retorts and rage my mind is bleeding <br /> <br />I lost my sight and got cast aside <br />Lost inside this mind of mine <br />A misadventure a battering tide, <br />A place so perfect a place alone, a place sublime my inner zone <br /> <br />Imagery tick tocks explosion of enlightenment in this place of mine <br />Frozen in motion are my words, but hectic are the pictures rolling in reverse <br />Loose my words as I have it all to describe, so now I have <br />Something to say, but it’s lost on you all and just fades away <br /> <br />Have no home in a million places, same ignored truths by changing faces <br />On borrowed time living with missing faces, I make a change in my pace <br />I lay and close my eyes, <br />No words in mouth, as I have it all to describe <br /> <br />For no reason I lost the feel of seasons <br />So a front is erected for the purpose of deceiving but, <br />Behind this curtain I’m really hurting, as deep down <br />I’m a real person, just beaten and broken into mental conversion <br /> <br />So I’ll remain lost inside this paradise of mine <br />A place so far a place so near, a place of heart and no fear <br />So forever and always ill reside, away from all the orthodox lies <br />And remain in this palatial paradise of mine.<br /><br />Daniel Richards<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/home-87/
