I am down inside a sadness that won't leave me alone. <br />When I think of you and things that you've said <br />I manage a smile and it makes me free <br />For a moment, I fly <br />So far up in the sky <br />I look up to see the clouds floating by <br />And I wonder why? <br />Why this has to be the way that it is? <br />And I can't be free to follow my Heart? <br />And see the sun <br />And all the fun? <br />It's bringing me down again to the ground <br />Where I dont' want to be. <br />But I know that you are thinking of me <br />And loving my mind <br />And hoping to see <br />What we will be together <br />When that time finally comes. <br />And your telling me <br />That when you see me next <br />That it will hard for you to go <br />And all I can say is, 'that I know' <br />It will be hard for me. <br />I cry at the thought. <br />It's not even here <br />And I cry at the thought of your leaving me <br />and me leaving you. <br />Not knowing if even <br />We will see each other again. <br />But we both know <br />How this has gotta go. <br />You have places to be <br />And it's not for me <br />Because my life is spoken for already, <br />And it's killing me, <br />To have to be here, <br />Knowing I can't be free.<br /><br />Heather Z.
