There is a place called Purgatory, <br />A place far beyond the universe <br />Where Divine servants are waiting there, <br />Assisting one shortly after their last breath <br />To enter the Pearly Gates with the utmost care. <br /> <br />There is a place called Purgatory, <br />A place of temporary suffering and misery <br />Where punishment never seems to sway, <br />And one must atone for all their sins <br />To become fit for Heaven in God's way. <br /> <br />There is a place called Purgatory, <br />A place where there is no tomorrow, <br />A Hallow Ground in sort of a religious way <br />For those who died with a marred soul, <br />Seeking Divine sanctification during their stay. <br /> <br />There is a place called Purgatory, <br />A place you may go to after death <br />Where sinful multitudes lament and wait, <br />Making redemptions to amend their soul, <br />Hoping to climb the stairs to the Golden Gate.<br /><br />Joseph T.
