As Father’s Day came and went <br />I couldn’t seem to start <br />To write my feelings down for you <br />So deep within my heart. <br /> <br />It’s so difficult to say it all <br />With so many passing years <br />You were here dad for me always <br />Through happiness and tears. <br /> <br />I think about my childhood, <br />My dad so tall and strong <br />How lucky I have always been <br />For our tightly woven bond. <br /> <br />I remember as a little girl <br />The special poems you’d read <br />You took time from your busy life <br />To fill so many needs. <br /> <br />When we came home late at night <br />You’d carry me to bed <br />So many special memories <br />That I’ve never really said. <br /> <br />I love you dad, and always will <br />Thanks for being who you are <br />For loving, caring, working hard <br />You’re the very best by far! <br /> <br /> <br />(My dad is gone now, and has been for many years.
