Wolf he is known by at Deadwood <br />A cowboy town of sorts where life is good <br />But this tale takes place in another spot <br />And why David starts to plot <br /> <br />You see Wolf loves to ride his horse <br />And Wimbledon Commons is his course <br />But one day the tale turns sour <br />Because Wolf's life changes in seconds not hours <br /> <br />It was the day before a trip with Dodgy Dave <br />That Wolf was bucked and the outcome grave <br />Wolf landed hard...he ended up in the hospital <br />The horse was spooked it was accidental <br /> <br />So Wolf couldn't go on the trip <br />This time this was one he had to skip <br />It made Him sad to think so <br />That he was left behind all alone <br /> <br />But we all know Dodgy Dave <br />And his silly side...His claim to fame <br />Dave went on his trip without Wolf his friend <br />He had to leave him so he could mend <br /> <br />But while David was away on his trip <br />He couldn't help thinking how to give Wolf some zip <br />He found a rocking horse at the store <br />And a Indian doll that someone made clothes to resemble Wolf more <br /> <br />Some one jokingly said Wolf's horse was spooked by a Womble <br />So another character was added to the ensemble <br />If you don't know what a Womble is <br />It's a fuzzy little children's storybook character quiz <br />I guess they like to collect garbage and such <br />Maybe that was why the horse spooked so much <br /> <br />So Dodgy Dave and some friends <br />Wrapped up the gift to give Wolf in the end <br />They wrapped it up tight in a box with Christmas paper <br />To give to Wolf and remind him of his caper <br /> <br />Now whenever Wolf feels blue <br />He looks inside his box and turns a new hue <br />A warm and happy color appears <br />As he laughs and thinks of his peers <br />He now is thankful for his friends so dear <br />That they took the time to give him some cheer <br /> <br /> <br />12 Sept 2007<br /><br />JoJo Bean<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dodgy-dave-tale-wolf/
