I've seen the way people treat him: <br />With mild disregard. <br />How can I settle for that <br />After the last <br />commanded the scene <br />and demanded recognition, <br />service. <br /> <br />He's the wimpy kind - <br />the kind that waddles thru life, <br />quickly removing himself from the paths <br />of strangers, <br />passers-by; <br /> <br />but with this blind defiance <br />that suffocates the air around him <br />leaving a stench trail for the ones in his wake <br />to ingest, inhale. <br /> <br />An inherent momma's boy. She clothes and feeds him, <br />provides transportation, advice, time; <br />A father, absently interested, at best. <br /> <br />When the last lover was an orphan. <br />Parents committed suicide. <br />Grew up tough, <br />strong, alone. <br /> <br />Raising two boys, all on his own. Mature, unkind. <br />A wealth of hate, a resource of love. <br /> <br />Both have a backbone; <br />that's seemingly out-of-the-question. <br /> <br />Tender is one, sensitive the other.
