Sometimes, bitterness inundates your heart
Until illumination is sapped left to right
Finally you’re realizing what has just happened
As you’re on your way down, Alone

How much longer can you persevere
Logic is failing again and you still haven’t found the one
The water is about to reach the end
And your slowly sinking down underneath

Sometimes, bitterness inundates my heart
Until faintness takes over my mind, and I strive to abandon the twilight
Finally I perceive myself in the same old routine again
As I’m on my way down, Alone

How much longer do I suffer this bitter addiction
Flowers are blooming all around the sky, so close I can’t even see
I can only imagine what life would’ve been like tonight
And I’m slowly sinking down to the floor

Tonight our lives collide for the first time
And we begin to notice what’s been accommodating us all this time.
I want to try and stay alive, here with you until the end of our time
We both know we have no choice, but I still strive

Don’t worry, we will see each other again someday
Our failure is so much more exquisite with both of us together on this ship
Just remember the beauty in this world and in our tragedy
Because we may never aboard this ship again.

Aiden Florence

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/beauty-in-sinking-ships/
