The Sun perched herself up this morning- <br />As a Golden-Yellow bouquet- <br />Beams spreading like sweet-honey cone- <br />As she announced, a brand new day. <br /> <br />Warmth breezes herself, effortlessly- <br />As higher and higher, she goes- <br />From the Eastern Orient Realms- <br />To: 'The High Noon, ' she heartfully glows. <br /> <br />Bouncing Her Light and Heat- <br />E'er outward and upon- <br />A nation 'tis in need of her- <br />Come hither or come yon. <br /> <br />But natured, in such a degree- <br />Perhaps, we are needing Her less? <br />As, our icebergs, are really melting- <br />And Global Warming, has confessed! <br /> <br />Still, i cannot imagine one single moment- <br />Devoid of Her sweet-butter rays- <br />Be it in the crisp brisk of Fall- <br />Or the warming Spring-Summer of May!<br /><br />Theodora (Theo) Onken<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/sun-18/
