With tears that fall like raindrops, <br />that tap against my windowpane. <br />I sit here with a broken heart, <br />wondering if it will ever mend again. <br />The tears are for a love one, <br />who has gone far away. <br />Saying as they left I won’t be back <br />again forever and a day. <br /> <br />Forever is a long time, <br />and I wonder if my heart <br />will ever last that long. <br />They say that I must be strong, <br />but it is not them hurting so. <br />Only time can tell, <br />how long my heart will ache, <br />but in the meantime, life marches on.<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/tears-that-fall-like-raindrops/
