The pampas grass is blowing in the wind, <br />it is swaying to and fro, <br />letting go of its children to the wind. <br />Hoping they can take root <br />in some safe place. <br /> <br />We watch our children <br />from infants to adulthood. <br />We shed a few tears <br />when they leave <br />to start new lives of their own. <br /> <br />Every one of us <br />has to spread our wings <br />at some given time. <br />Our leaving maybe tearful, <br />but our parent’s blessings always follow us. <br /> <br />And so the circle of life <br />goes on and on, without end. <br />Our children grow and leave, <br />and then they watch their own <br />do the same as them.<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/circle-of-life/
