Like a dog off its leash, <br />Like a feather in the breeze, <br />Like a ship without its anchor, <br />Drifting the seven seas. <br />Like the pollen in the spring, <br />Being ferried with the air. <br />Like a kite free of its string, <br />Owned by the child free of care. <br />Like the leaves on the tide, <br />Like the salmon the rivers tow, <br />They all go to places <br />I will never, ever go.<br /><br />K.
