The sky is grey and shattered ice, <br />Snowflakes drift from the sky, <br />Gently settling on crisp leaves or winter berries, <br />Blanketing the land with a magnificent white glow, <br />Trees of Evergreen are covered in a shine of crystallised frost. <br />On houses hang decorations of icicles, <br />Lustrous like Diamond, <br />People stay inside wrapped up warm by the fireplace, <br />Roasting marshmallows and drinking hot cocoa. <br />Horse drawn carriages leave tracks behind them, <br />A robin with chest of red sings sweetly on the fence, <br />While Wolves play on the ice. <br />The Sun begins to peek out from a cloud, <br />The Snow starts to melt, <br />Flowers rise from the snow, <br />Spring has moved into winters place.<br /><br />Kezune Walker<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/snowlakes-drift-from-the-sky/
