I understand the pain you feel, the tears you cry and the words you write. <br />I understand that downwards spiral with no end insight. <br />I understand going to bed each night praying not to wake. <br />I understand the doctors pushing the pills and no help insight. <br />I understand the abandonment by family and friends, <br /> when you really needed them the most. <br />I understand the panic and the fright. <br />I understand the never-ending want to sleep, <br /> but never being able to get a peaceful night. <br />I understand the guilt, the shame, the lack of desire. <br />I understand the loss of hope and faith. <br />I understand the feelings of worthlessness. <br />I understand not having the guts to do it. <br />I understand the frustration of just wanting to end your suffering. <br />I understand and you are not alone, I feel just the same as you. <br /> <br />The Light <br /> <br />You asked for light at the end of the tunnel, <br />To take away the darkness. <br />So, I have to tell you, my friend. <br />That light exists within you. <br /> <br />To be in such a desperate place, <br />Yet you still offer your assistance. <br />To give to others so unselfishly, <br />Is really quite amazing. <br /> <br />For every word you write, <br />Your light will grow stronger. <br />Your simple acts of kindness, <br />Are truly a gift to the world.<br /><br />A.M.
