In news for wrong reasons, <br />as always with all other countries <br />unless you are a western one, <br />There is a hue and cry <br />in support of an <br />insignificant woman. <br /> <br />Hitting headlines all over <br />Asking for a change of law <br />of an independent country, <br />poor and predominantly black <br />but surviving with dignity. <br /> <br />Is it because the culprit is british <br />What about Afghans and iraqis <br />guantanamo bay, <br />Children massacred, <br />women raped, men humiliated <br />is it not news for you? <br /> <br />Is it because they are not white <br />and so cannot be right, <br />But two week jail term for <br />a miserable old lady, <br />Is all that you care for. <br /> <br />who went to sudan on her own, <br />without invitation <br />if only she had tried to learn <br />the sentiments of her host, <br />if only she had tried to respect <br />the law of the land, <br />put an effort to assimiliate <br /> <br />But no, the superiority complex <br />comes to play, <br />west is always right, <br />the rest need to follow it <br />any opposition and you will <br />be bullied into submission <br />or ruthlessly put down.<br /><br />Vikram G.
